Reflecting on 2020 with Gratitude
Like so many, 2020 has truly rocked my world. It's easy to focus on the negative because let's be real, it's been tough. But this season, I'm focusing on seeing the good. It’s forced me to show down and reevaluate my priorities in life. It's also given me the space to reconnect with so many things that bring me gratitude and joy. I’ve had more time to connect with my kids, see the wonder in their eyes and appreciate what a gift it is to watch them explore creatively to discover their talents through play, painting, sports, writing and random experiments.
I’ve had the chance to recommit to my daily yoga practice, read, hike, watch magical sunsets and lie in the hammock for hours just to watch butterflies flutter.
I’ve also had the chance to reconnect with so many people and remind myself how blessed I am to be surrounded by such a wonderful support system even during a challenging year.
I’ve always believed in the power of gratitude, but this year I appreciate it even more deeply and am reminded that even during the darkest of times, there is so much to be thankful for.
So this Thanksgiving…relish in the laugher, indulge in the pie or another helping of mac and cheese, dance like no one is watching and most importantly tell those around you how much they mean to you.
